The electronic media tapes are stored in special climate-controlled areas and secured in a range of Dataline-M cabinets, which has a cabinet-inside-a-cabinet type of construction in which the external shell is fire resistant. These fire resisting cabinets are designed to withstand temperatures as high as 1000ºC for over an hour while maintaining the inside temperatures and humidity well within accepted standards for protection of magnetic and diskette media.

The media vault is constructed using fire resistant materials with a defender door. Automatic standalone fire extinguishers are fitted on the roof inside the media vault along with wireless smoke detectors which alerts the control panel to dial the emergency contact numbers.

Automatic Temperature and humidity control equipments are installed to monitor, record, and alert in case of variation. CCTVs are installed to monitor the entry/ exit of visitors and staff. Security personnel are deputed 24 x7. Visitors entry is restricted.
